Xyngular Leaders: Joe Slovenec

Joe Slovenec. Where Did Joe Go?WLC - You've been in this industry for 15+ years, why did you chose to be the Master Distributor with Xyngular?

Joe, I was recruited to be the Master Distributor by the chairman of Xyngular in late August of 2009; obviously before there was a Xyngular. At the time I was with another company and was not really looking to move. I told him that I would be willing to meet with him. A week or so later I traveled to San Jose to have lunch with him and his Vice President. We had a four hour lunch in which I got to hear his vision for Xyngular and his experience in the network marketing industry and I was quite impressed. I made no decision at that lunch other than to schedule a visit with him in a week and a half. I then went back to San Jose and spent two days at his office “kicking the bricks” so to speak and was very impressed. We shook hands on our arrangement by mid September. The reason I decided to become the MD was because I liked the concept of a start up but because of the almost 40 years of networking experience of the chairman and his expertise in the industry both corporately and in the field I knew I would have an opportunity that was extremely solid. Add that to his financial strength and the innovative compensation plan I knew at that point Xyngular would be the next Power House in the networking industry.

WLC - You've been very successful in many traditional businesses and investments, why would you recommend Network Marketing to someone who might be considering this avenue for additional income?

Joe, I had a very traditional business in the real estate investment arena for many years. We owned apartment complexes in Ohio and Georgia as well as a few office buildings. That was a great business but the business owned me. With almost 50 employees and a substantial overhead I did not have the freedom that I wanted in life. My two main goals are to help others succeed in business and have my personal freedom…network marketing gives me both. I love the freedom I have to do what I want to do when I want to do it. And, I am able to help others achieve their financial goals which is quite rewarding for me.

WLC - Being a busy dad of 5 children, 4 grandchildren, and a husband to your wife of over 35 years,How would you say this industry affects your lifestyle?

Joe, This industry gives me the freedom I desire to be able to spend time with my wife, my children and my grandchildren. I could not imagine ever having to work for someone and being told when I could come and go - -that is quite foreign to me and at this stage of my life could never imagine it.

WLC - Your primary residence is in a very small town, remote from the hustle and bussle of the city. Does this help or hurt you to build your own business, and what advice can you give to those who also live in a small town?

Joe-Home-ViewJoe, Judy and I live in the mountains of Southern California in a beautiful mountain lake community. It is not very populated. As a matter of fact it is about a 30 minute drive down the mountain to get to an area where there are people. That being said, that’s one of the things I love about this business…I can do it from anywhere. I would say about 95% of my business is done on the telephone and I can do that from anywhere

WLC - What advice could you give to someone who is brand-new in their Xyngular business who wants to see success fast?

Joe, The Xyngular compensation plan has been designed to help the new distributor make money. Our compensation plan does not have all the structure that most plans have so a new networker can succeed very well. It is also a plan that can really compensate the seasoned networker build a substantial income. To build an income quickly I would recommend using a system that your upline leadership recommends and work with your upline leadership every day to allow them to help you succeed. Talk to your friends, family members, acquaintances and business associates immediately and introduce them to your upline for 3-way calls. Use your upline to do the work for you. This is a simple business, it takes work but it is simple don’t make it any more complicated than it is by trying to be an expert before you begin, begin immediately by allowing your upline to be the knowledgeable one who will explain the opportunity and products to your prospects.

WLC - When it comes to building a team via the Internet, or building face to face, what would you recommend? And why would you pick one over the other?

Joe, I think in this day and age the Internet has its value. It is a great way to meet people quickly. However, never forget that this is a relational business. If you choose to build using the internet remember that you need to build relationships with your new found friends who become distributors. For me I build person to person with people I know and new people that I meet and I do that mostly via telephone. I know a lot of people and I genuinely like people so I continue to meet people all the time even in the secluded area in which I live. If you live life and like people I really don’t think that you can every really run out of personal contacts. That being said I am learning how to use social networking via the Internet to hopefully add another dimension to building my business…who says and old dog can’t learn new tricks.

WLC - where do you see xyngular in the next 1, 2, 5 10 years?

Joe, I really see that the Xyngular business will be a strong company in the years ahead. I do not have a crystal ball to predict the total sales volume but I do believe because of our corporate leadership, distributor leadership, the innovative compensation plan, great products and the ability to grow internationally that Xyngular is poised to dominate the network marketing industry.
